From What Age Do You Accept Students?
We accept students from the age of 4 onwards
What classes do you have available for adults?
For adults we have tap and ballet classes available. These are open level classes and are suitable for a wide range of levels, including beginners.
Do you do shows?
We have a variety of dancers who dance with us, some of which are too shy to dance in a show. We would never force a dancer into an uncomfortable situation. Instead, we compete, giving those who truly desire to dance in front of a large audience a chance to strut their stuff! Dancers who meet a certain criteria (and communicate a desire) will be selected to represent the studio on a competitive level. We also have “Watching Days” which gives our more reserved dancers a chance to perform for their family members and friends in a “no-pressure” environment.
Do you do exams?
Yes. Exams are offered in modern, ballet and tap to those who meet the criteria to participate.
My child has no desire to compete or do exams, they just want to dance for fun, is Dansation the right studio?
Yes! At Dansation, we pride ourselves in catering to the serious, and not-so-serious dancer. Not only can we cater to those who dream of the stage, but also those who simply enjoy the magic of a recreational dance class. Furthermore, if your child is strictly a recreational dancer, we will never put any unnecessary pressure on him/her. We love our “just-for-fun” dancers as much as we love our dance fanatics!
Is Dansation a registered dance studio?
Yes we are. We are registered with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing, Acrobatic Arts, The Royal Academy of Dance and the American Academy of Ballet. All teachers who provide classes at our studio hold the relevant qualifications.
We would like to visit the studio, what is the procedure?
If you have never been to Dansation before and would like a meeting with management, a viewing or a trial class, you will need to schedule an appointment. Unfortunately, due to classes and meetings that take place throughout the day, we are unable to adequately attend to walk-ins. To make an appointment, hop on over to our Contact page and a member of staff will guide you through the process.
